The Math: The IPF GL Formula

The IPF GL (Goodlift) formula was introduced in 2020 to replace the older IPF points and Wilks systems. It evaluates powerlifting strength across bodyweights based on recent performance data from actual IPF world championships.

Calculation Formulas

IPF GL Points = 100 × Total / (A - B × e^(-C × Bodyweight))
Constants A, B, and C differ depending on gender and equipment (Raw/Equipped).
Worked Example

A 90kg raw male with a 650kg total would have an IPF GL score of roughly 84.4 points.
